Park Working Men’s Club & Institute is located in Burnt Ash Lane,
between the Library and St Andrew’s Church.
The Club was
founded in 1910 and moved to this site on 2 November 1927 and has been part of
the local community ever since.
the club we have a spacious and bright function hall for hire, overlooking the
picturesque Kings Meadow Park. The hall
is licensed to hold up to 150 people.
The Entertainment Hall situated on the
ground floor is licensed to hold up to 250 people and leads out to our newly
refurbished garden with a new patio area.
In the hall we have regular entertainment on Saturday & Sunday nights
and special events held on Friday nights throughout the year. On Wednesdays and Fridays there is bingo too.
If you are in
to your sports we have Sky & BT Sports and often show live televised
boxing. We also have two dart teams
playing from here every Thursday and for snooker players we have four full
sized snooker tables in a purpose built room.
we organise various activities on the Bank Holiday Sundays, Halloween, Firework
Night and at Christmas.
The club also
supports local organisations and charities, such as the Amateur Boxing
Association, who hold their boxing bouts here free of charge and we regular
donate to the Air Ambulance, Guide Dogs, Help the Heroes and MacMillan Cancer
Research as well as taking part in the Annual Burnt Ash Community Day.
